We are seeking a Model Maker to join our prototyping team within the Consumer Products Professional Business in Neenah, WI.
The Model Maker at Georgia-Pacific’s Innovation Institute® will have a variety of Model Making, Prototyping and CNC Machinist responsibilities, working with a variety of teams within Consumer Products. The primary duty is to fabricate prototypes through CNC machining to accurately represent our end products. There will be projects and requests coming from various stages within the product development life cycle for challenge and variety. They will also utilize a variety of other tools to create breadboards models, visual models, functional prototypes, etc.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
CNC machine a wide variety of components of varying complexity primarily in plastic or aluminum
Apply various finishing techniques to raw prototypes to generate high quality aesthetic models
Fabricate various types of RTV molds to create functional urethane components
Operate a variety of 3D printers to match customer needs
What You Will Need:
Basic Qualifications:
Technical diploma or Associates degree in Model Making, CNC machining or related field
A minimum of 5 years working experience in setup and operation of multi-axis CNC machining equipment
A minimum of 5 years of MasterCam or related CAM software experience
Ability to safely and proficiently use a variety of shop equipment such as table saws, bandsaws, lathes, drill presses and hand tools.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using SolidWorks for part design
Experience using Haas equipment
Experience in operating 3D printing equipment
Knowledge of Plastic part design and/or injection molding
