In our lab we have house air, and nitrogen. I have experimented with both. It definitely helps with flare ups on wood, paper, and plastics that tend to char. It does not eliminate flare ups, and browning, but does make a difference. I'm not sure if it would be cost effective if we had to buy nitrogen specifically for our Universal cutter.

No, but I'd like to add my voice to the seekers of knowledge here as someone who is very curious about this. Hopefully we have a member who can enlighten us on this subject (get it? Enlighten? Laser? Light? Anyone? I'll be here all week...)

Is anyone using nitrogen quench air to reduce browning when cutting wood and paper?
Thanks
Charles
